1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Chainless APIs, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Chainless ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

Chainless provides a suite of cryptocurrency-related APIs including wallet security scanning, crypto tax reporting, token risk analysis, and transaction decoding. The Service is accessed via API keys issued to registered users.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and account credentials. You are fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. API Usage and Rate Limits

Your use of the APIs is subject to the rate limits and quotas associated with your subscription plan. You agree not to:

• Exceed the rate limits or quotas of your plan
• Share, sell, or redistribute your API key to third parties
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate illegal activity
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or decompile any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond the intended API interface

5. Subscription and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Plan upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. All fees are stated in US dollars and are exclusive of applicable taxes.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to APIs, documentation, logos, and design — are owned by Chainless and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Chainless does not provide financial, legal, or tax advice. API responses (including risk scores, tax calculations, and token analyses) are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for financial decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chainless shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may cancel your account at any time through your dashboard.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Chainless is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
